Who Can Join ?

If you are retired or semi-retired ,40+ (as ‘plus’ as you like) and not in full-time employment? Then Dundee U3A is for you. If you don't work, because of illness, are retired, or work part-time, you are welcome to join.

Can I bring my carer or helper?

if you need someone to help you attend or participate in an activity you can of course bring someone along. Please just notify the group leader for safety reasons. They can sit with you or wait for you but should not be taking part in an activity per se ( singing along is fine but not playing an instrument for example !)

I don't see any groups I like.

We always welcome ideas for new groups, if you have an interest or hobby you wish to rediscover ,or start ,let us know.We have over 400 members who might also want to join you.

I want to try a group out first.

if you are a new to Dundee u3a member you can try a group twice for free ( if an accommodation charge applies) without having to commit to joining.UNLESS it is a brand new group meeting for the first time.

The group I like is full.

Some of our groups may be full. Either because they are popular or because they work better with smaller numbers. Please enquire anyway,as there may be a waiting list or a chance a second group can be created to accommodate extra numbers.

I want to start a group

New Group Leaders and Groups are vital to our continuing popularity. We want to respond to the changing interests of our existing and new potential members. If you are interested in starting a group you will get lots of support.: Helping you to find and book a venue, promoting your group,& finding your members, and maybe even settling in with your first session. Once a group is established they should be self maintaining by the members with very little admin required.
